Flowing water and boulders offer a way into Bendung Kahyangan in Pendoworejo, Girimulyo. A September 2025 photograph shows its riverside landscape rather than the engineered weir or a ceremony. Kulon Progo's culture office documents Saparan Rebo Pungkasan here: a procession, shared meal and performances connect residents with a tradition of caring for the weir. In 2026, Girimulyo's government also identified Bendung Kayangan among Pendoworejo's tourism assets. Landscape and culture meet here through visits that respect community activities and local access boundaries.
