Local notes —

Jomblang Cave is in Pacarejo, Semanu, Gunungkidul Regency. Contact the operator about reservations, route conditions, participant requirements, guides and equipment before visiting. Follow the briefing and operational decisions on the day; do not descend independently. The archive image does not guarantee prices, schedules or visible light rays. The pin uses the general coordinate stated by the operator website, not a surveyed descent point, ticket desk or access route.

Why it matters

Jomblang combines a descent with an underground space transformed by light. This vertical cave in Pacarejo, Semanu has vegetation at its base and a passage leading towards Luweng Grubug. A 2014 archive photograph shows light rays and visitor silhouettes along that underground route; it does not establish current conditions or guarantee the same lighting on a future visit. This is a specialised visitor activity, so planning with guides and the operator forms part of the experience. Jomblang and Grubug remain a connected visitor journey within this single Spot.
