Cibodas Botanical Garden is a highland botanic garden at the foot of Mount Gede and Mount Pangrango in Cianjur Regency. Founded in 1852 as Bergtuin te Tjibodas, it was first used to acclimatize plants introduced from abroad, including cinchona. Its role later grew into plant conservation, research, and education.
Among the trees and mountain scenery, visitors can encounter a different side of Cianjur: living plant collections maintained for knowledge, alongside paths for an unhurried walk. The large pond and lawns offer places to pause, while the garden’s history adds context to the landscape.
