In the heart of Cirebon, Kasepuhan Palace preserves the history of the sultanate in a sequence of spaces that remains legible today. Red brick walls, gateways, and the Siti Inggil complex lead toward the palace buildings. Its former name, Pakungwati, recalls the long history of this coastal city. Palace collections, including the Singa Barong carriage, tell stories of art, power, and Cirebon’s meeting of cultures.
Come to study the architecture and heritage objects, while making room for cultural activities that still take place here. Visitor access may change; check current arrangements with the palace before travelling.
