Local notes —

Rumah Cimanggis is within the Indonesian International Islamic University complex in Depok. The city government records it as preserved heritage, while the university describes the historic building on its campus. Confirm permission and visiting arrangements with the operator before going; exterior photos do not establish access to the interior.

The pin follows a Wikimedia Commons camera position close to the building, not a campus gate. The gallery uses two photographs from March 2024: a front view and a side view. Both are by RXerself and Creutzen under CC BY-SA 4.0. The 1280-pixel versions were used without manual crop or retouch; Floopel variants may differ in format and size.

The cover is a panorama from a third file, separate from both gallery photos: RXerself and Creutzen, created with Hugin, 19 March 2024, Wikimedia Commons, CC BY-SA 4.0.

Why it matters

Rumah Cimanggis carries a trace of colonial-era architecture into present-day Depok. Also known as Gedung Tinggi, the building stands within the Indonesian International Islamic University campus; the city government lists it among the heritage places it preserves.

Archive photographs from March 2024 show the tiled-roof veranda and a side view of the building. Together they invite a closer look at a place being cared for, without implying unrestricted access to the campus.
