Sukabumi Station traces the city’s connection to the railway across Priangan. KAI’s historical archive records that the Cicurug–Sukabumi section opened to the public on 21 March 1882 as part of the Bogor–Bandung–Cicalengka route. The railway linked Priangan with Batavia for economic activity; the same archive includes a view of the station from around 1895–1908.
At the station in use today, the “Sukabumi” facade, platform canopy, and waiting area offer three ways to observe this place across time. The 2022 cover and 2024 gallery photographs document these features on their respective dates, without claiming they still look identical today. View the details from public areas while allowing passengers to move freely.
