Within the grounds of Bogor Presidential Palace, Balai Kirti presents Indonesia’s history through the work and legacy of its presidents. The museum brings together memorabilia and interpretive displays, making a visit to Bogor an opportunity to look beyond the cityscape and consider the choices that shaped the republic.
The first-floor National Gallery introduces important symbols and texts from Indonesia’s national story. Upstairs, the Presidential Gallery and library offer a closer look at presidential terms and their historical context. The museum was inaugurated on 18 October 2014.
Because it sits inside the palace complex, check the museum’s official visitor information and arrange access before travelling. Entry requirements and visiting times may change around palace activities.
