Boats resting on the sand give Ngandong a story as a fishing beach. Gunungkidul's tourism office describes this coastline through residents gathering fish and seaweed, between the coastal landscapes of Krakal and Sundak. A February 2011 archive photograph shows boats, sand and a hill beside the sea in strongly saturated colours. It records one moment rather than establishing current fishing activity or beach conditions. Observe the relationship between landscape and coastal livelihoods from permitted areas, while leaving room for people working on the shore.

Follow staff and signs; do not swim, approach waves or interfere with working boats. The pin follows the beach listing, not a camera location or surveyed entrance.
