Red umbrellas follow the curve of sand at Pantai Pulangsawal, while rocky hills frame the sea. A May 2025 photograph captures the beach from its eastern side, with visitors appearing as small parts of the landscape. Gunungkidul's tourism office uses Pulangsawal and explains Indrayanti as another name for the same beach. Sand, waves and hills shape this coastal experience: one place with two names, rather than two destinations to seek separately.
